Users may choose from the categories "until 1917" and "1917-1991" on the first page of the Kyiv oblast digital archive. Collections preceding 1917 include archival collections of the Kyiv provincial board 1780-1919, Kyiv state chamber 1781-1919, Kyiv provincial commission of the first general census in 1897, and office of the Kyiv Provincial Governor of the Provisional Government 1917-1918. These collections include thousands of pages relating to all aspects of life, government, and institutions. The digitized 1917-1991 collections (most representative for years 1917-1943) include: 1. the files of the Office of the Mayor of the Bila Tserkva region of Kyiv, 1941-43 2. the Museum-Archive of the Kyiv City Council, 1941-1943 3. the Kyiv branch of the Russian-Canadian-American passenger agency (personal files of emigrants from Ukraine), 1926-1930 and 4. registry office departments of different Kyiv oblast' towns' Justice Departments, 1919-1933.
